What is a BIVA?!  Over the years, the word DIVA has been given a bad wrap. When I was first introduced to the word diva I automatically thought uhhh ohhh, “Bitch” alert! A diva is often considered rude, a bit of a prima-dona, high-maintenance and really just a “mean girl!” And let’s be honest ladies, we’ve all had our “diva” moments! LOL

Several years ago, maybe 1998… I was watching tv and a show came on VH1 and it was titled, “VH1 Divas.” The honorees were Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston. These ladies are considered music legends. The show came on again and the honorees were Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, and Ciara. Once I saw these shows and the ladies that were honored, I realized a DIVA must possess some positive traits!

Diva is a label that can be worn proudly and in my case “BIVA!” Britani+Diva=BIVA you get it?!? These the ingredients that make up a “BIVA!”

B-budget savvy, bold, brave, beautiful, bright, blessed, blooming, boss “chick”

I-intelligent, intriguing, irreplaceable, important, inspired, intuitive

V-valuable, virtuous, vibrant, vivacious, versatile

A-authentic, appealing, aware, accepting
